Dr. Christiane Stengel

Christiane Stengel studied veterinary medicine at the Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, Germany. After gaining her Veterinary degree in 1997 she started work as an assistant doctor at the small animal internal medicine clinic of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich. Here she also did her doctoral thesis on treatment of FIV in naturally infected cats to gain the degree as Dr. med. vet. Christiane then became employed as a clinician and lecturer at the LMU Munich from 2000 to 2002. In 2002 she started her Residency in small animal internal medicine at the LMU Munich and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Georgia, USA which she finished at the end of 2004. From 2005 to February of 2020 Christiane worked as an internal medicine specialist and was the head of the internal medicine service at the Tierklinik Hofheim, Hofheim, Germany. In 2020 she became self-employed with the telemedicine service zweitmeinung-tierarzt.de.
Christiane is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Companion Animals and EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and a German Specialist (Fachtierarzt) for Small Animal Internal Medicine.
