Overview
This course is independent of the orthopaedic curriculum, therefore it is not mandatory to participate first in any of the other Ortho courses. It includes interactive, case oriented classroom teaching in combina¬tion with intensive practical work-shops. All aspects of feline orthopaedics will be covered. The participants shall learn about diseases which are specific to cats and also will learn to know the differences which exist in treatment between cats and dogs. Traumatology will be covered in theory, especially regarding RTAs, HRIs and gun shot injuries. Also we will have an interactive session about decision-making in fracture repair. Therefore we expect that you are familiar with the basic principles of fracture repair (AOvet).

Learning Outcomes:

After the course the participant shall:
1. know about specific differences in cats compared to dogs in orthopaedic diseases
2. know how to diagnose them best
3. know treatment strategies and be able to treat some of the diseases
