Course Overview:

Patellar luxation is a common yet challenging orthopedic condition in dogs, demanding comprehensive understanding and proficient management. This 2.5-day course is meticulously designed to equip veterinarians with the latest diagnostic modalities and treatment strategies essential for addressing patellar luxation effectively.
Join us for an immersive learning experience where theoretical knowledge converges with hands-on practice, ensuring you leave equipped with the expertise to navigate the complexities of patellar luxation confidently. Please note that Orthopaedics I, II and III courses are mandatory before continuing onto this course.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

– know what a CORA is
– be able to measure it on radiographs with a dedicated software (vPOP)
– be able to perform a proximal tibial osteotomy and distal femoral osteotomy to correct a medial patellar luxation
– know what a PGR is and when it is indicated
– will perform a PGR on plastic bones and cadavers
