What should I do If I get sick prior to the beginning of the course?
ESAVS does not grant any refunds in the event of a cancellation received less than 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the course. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance, when registering for a course and making travel arrangements. Travel insurance can cover the cost of your travel expenses in the event of a last minute cancellation or emergency. To learn more about our cancelation policy, please refer to the terms and conditions page on our website.

Why am I experiencing problems with credit card payment?
What are the cancellation requirements?
In the event of a cancellation received between 12 to 8 weeks (84-56 days) prior to the course, the ESAVS reserves the right to retain 50% of the payment received.
Cancellations made more than 12 weeks (more than 84 days) before the course start date will receive a full refund minus €300 administrative costs.
Fees cannot be transferred to another course or refunded for either cash or goods, unless a separate agreement with the ESAVS office has been made. This may incur an administrative charge (€300).
Tuition fees will be fully reimbursed if a course is cancelled by the ESAVS. No further claim can be raised thereafter. This means that the ESAVS refunds only tuitions fees and does not reimburse expenses for travel arrangements made by participants.
The annual enrolment fees and examination fees for the Master or Certificate Program are non-refundable.

What is the difference between the Master and the Certificate?
Can I first enroll for the Certificate and then go on to the Master program?
The Certificate program (CSAVP) and the Master program (EMSAVM) are two different continuing education options. The CSAVP is somewhat less demanding, the EMSAVM is more comprehensive and takes longer. Before a student enrols in either program, they should think about which program is right for them.
Please be aware that it is not possible to obtain the CSAVP and the EMSAVM in the same discipline. This means once you have completed the CSAVP you may not „continue or add on“ the EMSAVM in the same discipline, since validated course work or written work cannot count twice for two separate certifications/degrees.
It is however possible to switch from the CSAVP to the EMSAVM program (and vice versa), during your enrolment time, as long as you stay in the same discipline and switch not later than two years after the initial date of enrolment. All current ECTS credits will be transferred; the maximum study time still applies from the time of initial enrolment. It is only possible to switch programs once.
Can I apply for more than one master or certificate program?
The certificate program (CSAVP) and the master program (EMSAVM) are both one-time study programs at the University of Luxembourg. This means all disciplines fall under the same generalized degree. Because the degree is the same regardless of discipline, it is only possible to obtain one master and one certificate degree. You cannot, therefore, apply to more than one discipline for either program.
What is the diploma / title I receive once I successfully completed the Master or Certificate program?
Certificate program: ESAVS “Certificate of Small Animal Veterinary Practice/ discipline” (CSAVP / discipline).
What is the total cost of the Master (Certificate) program?
Does ESAVS provide accommodation and / or a job?
ESAVS does not provide any employment for their Master / Certificate students.
